Heated Pool 82° Arcadia 4 Bedrooms 3 Baths

The property looked amazing in the photos and had everything for a relaxing stay, pool, outdoor bar, game area, and a spacious kitchen. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t quite match expectations. I arrived from California a few hours early but was told check-in before 4 p.m. was impossible because the cleaning crew was still there. Upon entering, the home looked nice at first, but several issues quickly became apparent. Some areas were dusty, a nightstand was broken, a bathroom door handle was barely attached, and the curtain rod in the living room was bent. One of the garage games couldn’t be used due to a missing power cord. The biggest problem was standing water in the garage with a strong odor, soaked cardboard under the pool table, and warped baseboards. Someone had tried to clean it with a beach towel that was still wet. When I reported it, the agent said it was from recent rain and would bring a broom to help, but no one ever came. I ended up cleaning it myself before guests arrived. There were also minor issues, not enough blankets, pillowcases without covers, and a dirty oven. Overall, the property has great potential and my guests enjoyed their stay after I cleaned, but the lack of attention to maintenance and cleanliness significantly impacted the experience.
